Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Manushag Magazine (“Manushag,” “we,” “us”), a project of Armenian Church Charities collects through manushag.org and what we do with it.
The short version
- We don’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell or rent anyone’s information.
- We use what you give us only to mail the magazine, answer you, and handle your donation.
- Payments are made on secure checkout pages run by our payment providers; we never see your full card number.
Information we collect
When you contact us. The contact form asks for your name, your e-mail address, and your message. It reaches us by e-mail through our e-mail delivery service.
When you subscribe. Subscriptions are handled by Chargebee, our subscription service, which opens on our pages and takes payment through its payment processor; we never see your full card number. You give your name, e-mail address, and billing details, and the name and mailing address of the child who will receive the magazine.
When you donate. Donations are made on Stripe’s secure checkout page; we never see your full card number. Stripe tells us your name, your e-mail address, the amount, and any billing details you enter, so we can e-mail your donation letter for your tax records and keep the records a charity must keep.
Automatically. Like every website, our web host receives the information your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you asked for, and uses it to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and the address of the page.
How we use it
To mail the magazine and manage subscriptions, to answer your messages, to process donations and send donation letters, to keep the records the law requires, and to keep the site running and secure.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us: our web host (Vercel); our e-mail delivery service (Resend), which delivers your messages to us and your donation letter to you; Cloudflare, whose Turnstile check keeps spam out of the contact form; Chargebee and its payment processor, for subscriptions; Stripe, for donations; and our printer and mailer, Printing Center USA, which receives the names and addresses it needs to mail each issue. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We don’t sell or rent personal information.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn’t use cookies to track you, and we don’t let advertising or analytics companies collect information about your visits. Chargebee’s subscription checkout, which uses an hCaptcha check to keep out bots, and Cloudflare’s spam check on our Contact page may set cookies under their own privacy policies. Stripe’s checkout runs on Stripe’s own site. Google Fonts doesn’t set cookies.
Because we don’t track visitors over time or across other websites, a browser’s “Do Not Track” signal doesn’t change anything here.
Children
Manushag is a magazine for children, but this website is for parents, grandparents, and other adults who subscribe for them. We don’t knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. The child’s name and address you give when you subscribe are used only to mail the magazine. If you think a child has sent us information through the site, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have from you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or cancel a subscription, by contacting us. We may need to keep donation records the law requires.
California residents: we don’t share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing (California Civil Code § 1798.83).
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). No way of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to other websites that we don’t control. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
